Age Guidelines: StringsPop! Monthly Teen Workshop registration is available to string students ages 10-17 as of January 1, 2021.

Photo and Video Release: In the course of the workshop sessions, students will make their own video recordings at home to share with teachers and class participants. These videos may also be posted on social media platforms. By registering for the term, participants and their parents consent to the minor child’s image, likeness, video and photo content being shared to and by the course directors and fellow participants on any of the following, but not limited to: Google Classroom, Flipgrid, Instagram, Acapella, Seesaw, Facebook, personal and professional websites or promotional materials, and email. Participants waive their right to compensation for sharing video content.

Teachers will use Google Classroom, Flipgrid, Acapella, Seesaw, text, and email to communicate with students.  Teachers will carefully monitor peer-to-peer communications to avoid risks of online bullying and will notify parents of any issues that may arise.

Meeting times:  Each session of the Monthly Teen Workshop will be held on Friday evenings, usually the third Friday of each month January through May. Exact meeting times may vary depending on participant location and time zone. Students will participate in one hour-long videoconference lesson/lab and will complete practice time, recording assignments and uploads on off-hours.  Participants agree to attend all videoconference hours assigned to their term.
